Hello, my name is Paul, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for taking the time to visit my GoFundMe page.
On September 2nd, my life took an unexpected turn when I became the victim of a hit-and-run accident on Brady Street, Milwaukee. This incident has left me temporarily unable to work, and I am facing a challenging road to recovery.
You might have heard about the incident that occurred on September 2nd at 9 p.m. on Brady Street. A gray SUV struck me while I was in a crosswalk at Warren Avenue after driving recklessly into oncoming traffic and callously left me injured on the road. It’s truly disheartening that such incidents are occurring in our community, and it emphasizes concerns of local citizens and the need for pedestrian safety.
The accident left me with multiple broken bones, damage to my cervical spine, a lacerated liver, damaged teeth and severe road rash, resulting in an extended hospital stay and surgery with more procedures planned.
My determination to seek justice led me to gather evidence and provide it to the Milwaukee Police Department. Despite challenges and delays in the investigation, we are hopeful to hold this individual accountable for their actions. We appreciate the continued efforts of Alderman Jonathan Brostaff, as well as Nomad World Pub, Club Brady, Jacks American Pub, Würstbar, Nashville North, Halo Saloon, Twisted Plants, Milwaukee Security Cameras, the Brady Improvement District and the countless neighbors who provided Ring camera footage in an effort to track the driver’s movements, all who were instrumental in identifying a suspect.
As I continue my recovery, I am unable to work and face mounting medical bills and financial obligations. I’m reaching out to you, our community, for support during this difficult time. My goal is to raise $2,500 to cover my financial obligations for the upcoming month until I am able to return to work. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and bring me one step closer to getting back on my feet while allowing me the appropriate time to heal. It is my hope that the individual driving will be brought to justice and answer not only for their criminal actions but for their financial obligation as well regarding my mounting medical bills.
