This is a fundraiser for food, water, gas, generators, and general recovery supplies for the people of Chimney Rock and the Upper Hickory Nut Gorge communities that were devastated by Hurricane Helene. Most of you know that I (Sarah McNally) and my husband (Jason) own a family cabin in the town of Gerton, and it is a home away from home for us. The community is known for their generosity and perseverance. They are doing a great job with what they have, but they will have to sustain this forward progress for a very long time. At the moment, there is no electricity and no running water. Jason and I are communicating with our neighbors up there and will be traveling there to help and deliver supplies.
