Recovery Funds for Cassie

Hello Friends!

We just wanted to take a minute to say thank you to everyone for taking the time to visit our site and read our story!

On Saturday, July 1st, three hours before Cassie’s 40th birthday, our entire lives stopped. Cassie was in a horrific accident that has left her paralyzed from the waist down after a severe spinal cord injury. She was airlifted to the Mayo Hospital in Rochester and has been residing there ever since.

At this time, there is a lot of uncertainty of what our future will hold, but as she continues to thrive in rehab everyday we are hopeful and praying that someday she may regain the ability and function to walk again. It’s been an extremely overwhelming experience for all of us that have been enduring this journey with her, and honestly, I’d be lying if I said we weren’t scared for the future.

It’s been difficult these past three weeks to update all of you, and I apologize for that. Im not always sure what to say or how to respond to everyone as it’s been a struggle for us to even comprehend and realize that this is our current reality. We appreciate all of the messages and support that’s been handed our way, more than any of you will ever realize.

Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers. We will begin to start updating on a more regular basis now as we begin to have more clarity of what’s to come.

Again, we appreciate all of you for following Cassie’s journey and for being such a huge support system for not only her, but for our entire family maneuvering this new life with her as well.
