Recovery Fund for Zoe Assaly

 

Hi, My name is Jess, and I'm fundraising to help out a dear friend who is facing hardship due to the recent wildfires in Colorado. Zoe is one of my best friends and lives a few houses away from me. I consider her and her daughter family. On Thursday December 30th Zoe drove to Louisville, CO to help her boyfriend and his mother evacuate due to the fires. While trying to pack their things the fire hit his home. One minute it looked like they had time to get out, and the next the fire was all around them. Zoe suffered 2nd degree burns to her hands, arms and legs. She is currently in a burn unit receiving treatment. Her boyfriend lost his home and all of his belongings, and both of their vehicles burned. They were lucky to escape with their lives and we are grateful that they did.

 

Zoe is in the process of recovering from major health issues for which she received treatment less than two weeks ago. She has been struggling all year to finally get the repairs done on her home from damage it received during the floods in 2013, and her home was damaged once again by the 80-110 mph winds that tore through our county and caused the fires. My heart hurts so much for her that she has now been hit with this. She is kind, caring, generous and a genuine friend. She is also a single mom to an amazing teenage daughter.

 

Zoe is the kind of person who is willing to give to others even when she barely has anything. Her heart is too big to say no when someone asks for her help. I'm fundraising today to try to help replace her vehicle, repair the damage done to her home, and support her and her daughter while she recovers from her injuries. Please help me ease the burden for this amazing gal. If anyone deserves it, she does.
