Recovery fund for Rossella Lamendola
Donation protected
SOMEONE WE LOVE IS IN TRUE NEED OF OUR SUPPORT!!

Rossella Lamendola - a loving (and loved) mother, sister, music teacher, friend, as well as accomplished playwright and outright wonderful and unique South Florida musician/songwriter - suffered a completely unexpected “aortic dissection” a month ago, while at home. After an EXTREMELY complicated 13 hour surgery that left her in a medically induced coma for two weeks, she is now in recovery. Needless to say, it will not be an easy one. Rossella suffered a stroke during surgery and now has only extremely limited movement in her extremities. Months of neuro-rehabilitation are ahead...
Unfortunately, and like many these days, she could not afford health insurance. She also cannot ever work again as a music teacher or songwriter/musician, her life-long livelihood and passion. While Medicaid and Social Security will cover some of the medical expenses, she and her family are facing a mountain of circumstance and bills that will not be covered. Medicaid only covers a very small portion of the rehab - it will likely have to be “self-pay.” Without work, she will need to live with family and they will need to adjust work schedules (and income) to care for her.
THEY NEED OUR HELP - however we can provide it: thoughts, prayers, or (of course) a donation to this fund, no matter how small. Those of us who know her, know Rossella made the world better every day with her work and music. Whether you know her or not, whatever you can do assist her right now would be a beautiful gesture for an uncommonly good person.
As Kurt Vonnegut once said, “We’re all here to help each other through this thing called life, whatever it is.”
Rosella has always been an unwavering friend to animals in distress and the homeless, as well as a vocal advocate for those affected by sexual and emotional abuse, and, of course, a support herself for friends in need; she’s a truly gentle and caring human being, always encouraging young (and old) musicians as they attempt to hone their craft. I know she made me a better performer and songwriter.

She’s always done her part to help others.
It’s time for us to do what we can to help her “get through this thing,” whatever we can do!
** considering Rossella’s current condition, her daughter and Team Rosella member Roxanne Grant-Lamendola will be withdrawing and handling all of the funds from her savings account and distributing them as needed for Rossella’s long-term, acute-care hospital rehabilitation, which should begin soon.
