Emergency & Recovery Fund for Phil

Donation protected
Our youngest brother Phil Knowlton went to the doctor last week complaining of pain so bad, he felt he’d ruptured something internally. After returning a couple days later to the ER in excruciating pain and after hours of tests, they discovered a 5 centimeter abscess on his left kidney. They first attempted to treat this with antibiotics but eventually resorted to surgically draining it.

He was diagnosed as diabetic as well, which is what caused the infection. Phil has battled health issues his whole life and those of us that know and love him have seen the struggle he’s had with walking due to chronic feet issues and stomach ailments that have left him void of sick and vacation leave from his job.

The doctors are planning to keep him 3- 4 weeks in the hospital to allow him to properly recover, with additional time needed at home, but during this time, he will have no income and his loving wife Kacee is already pulling extra hours trying to keep up.

If things weren’t bad enough, they are now looking at costly heating repairs as their furnace chose now of all times to decide to fail. Murphy’s Law in full effect! And it couldn’t happen to a nicer couple.
If anyone can donate repair heating services, that would be incredible, but this need is urgent with temperatures below zero recently.
Anything is helpful.

Phil has his plate full recovering in the hospital. He helped me after my stroke and subsequent loss of my job, income, financial stability - I know first hand how these things spiral to take over your life and stress and worry do nothing but make recovery a tougher challenge. His doctor even asked if he’d been under more stress as it is a direct cause.
Phil is the kindest, gentlest soul I know.

He and his lovely wife Kacee need OUR help now, in their time of need.
poor Kacee broke down when she realized she wouldn’t have him home for some time. Truer soul mates I’ve never seen.

Please donate and/or share - I also know that the sooner help starts, the easier his recovery will be.  And there is a very real urgency to getting their furnace repaired.

Thank you all in advance!
