On September 1, 2019, life forever changed for many Bahamians!! Our dear friends, Lincoln(“I Lost It” and as many write-ups have called him “The Daniel Boone of the Bahamas”), his wife Ruth and their family went through Hurricane Dorian.  They, as well as everyone on Green Turtle Cay, Abaco Bahamas, were affected.  Their home was severely damaged by rising sea water and 180+ mph winds.  Lincoln and Mother Ruth(as most call her)have devoted their lives to their community and advancement of tourism.  If you have ever been on one of LJ’s fishing trips and beach picnic, you know what I’m talking about!!  Where else can you feed turtles, sharks and stingrays and also have your fish that you just caught in the Sea of Abaco cooked and served at the beautiful “Lincoln Park” beach?  Lincoln, with the help of his sons/grandson supported their family by fishing and taking tourist out almost every day.  This is impossible for now and the family will have no funds coming in for some time.  This community and this family are resilient and will rebuild, but they will need our help.  Please help our friends get back on their feet, they will appreciate any generosity given to them.

UPDATE:  Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has donated for Ruth and Lincoln.  Some of you may not know me, but my name is Patsy Rice, my husband John and my girls(Amanda and Taylor)have been going to GTC for 30 years.  Lincoln and Ruth are literally our family and we love them so much.  We are getting close to our goal, I can't wait to make out a check for them and present them with all the love that has been bestowed upon them.  They are living with my family for now and are extremely so, so grateful for all of your kind donations.  They want everyone to know they are good and that GTC is STRONG!!
