Recovery Fund for Emma

As you may have heard by now, our beloved Emma was assaulted and violently stabbed multiple times at 6:30 am Friday, October 23rd in the parking lot of the Hamilton Community Center and Ice Arena in Columbus, IN where she works as a skating instructor. We will be forever grateful for the quick response by Officer Frank Dickman of the Columbus Police Department who was first on the scene and saved Emma’s life by having her airlifted to IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis where she has been receiving exceptional care. She is currently at home now with family. We wish to thank all of Emma’s caring and outstanding doctors, nurses, as well as The Columbus Police Department officers who quickly apprehended the attacker. At this hour we are still in shock, but feeling so very blessed and grateful. In spite of it all, Emma has not lost her courage, strength or her beautiful smile. A huge thank you to our family, our friends and our wonderful community. Each of your cards, well-wishes and prayers have helped warm our hearts and given us added strength during this most difficult time. We all go through life hoping things like this will never happen to us. And when they do, we realize how much we take things for granted.
