We are reaching out to our community, friends, and patrons of Cove W Winery to ask for your support for our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, David Wilson.

On June 12, 2026, Dave’s life changed in an instant. While standing up to protect his staff and business during a chaotic situation, Dave was brutally assaulted. The attack left him unconscious, causing him to fall and suffer a severe traumatic brain injury.

Dave is a fighter, and we are grateful that he is slowly improving every day. However, his path to recovery will be a long and challenging road. The trauma has significantly impacted his cognition and speech. Doctors have emphasized that brain swelling takes time to heal, and Dave will require intensive, long-term speech, physical, and cognitive rehabilitation.

As many of you know, Dave is the heart and soul of Cove W Winery. He has spent years pouring his energy into creating a welcoming space for our community to gather and make memories. Now, it is our turn to rally around him.

How the Funds Will Be Used:

Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly to Dave’s wife, Cary Wecht, to alleviate their financial burden so they can focus entirely on what matters most—Dave’s healing and recovery. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page within your network or leaving a message of support means the world to us, as well as keeping their family in your thoughts and prayers.

As a close family friend of Dave Wilson’s wife, Cary Wecht, since childhood, I was devastated like so many others to learn about the brutal assault.
