Recovery Fund for Arnulfo "Dee" Cantu Jr.
Donation protected
Some of you know, other friends do not. Arnulfo "Dee" Cantu Jr., my husband and father of our sons Luis and Armand, suffered a Massive Dominant Stroke on October 18th, 2022. There was no warning that morning, and Arnulfo was immediately rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital in Joliet, IL. On the second day, he had emergency surgery to alleviate the pressure caused by brain swelling due to the stroke. He was then hospitalized for five more weeks.
After many additional procedures to save his life, he is now in recovery mode. Unfortunately, this tragedy has left Arnulfo without the ability to speak, and he is paralyzed on his right side. Time is crucial in his recovery. We are raising money to cover the cost of expensive therapies that he is in definite need of. This includes speech, occupational, and physical therapies. In addition, funding will also be allocated towards medical bills and any other services that would improve his quality of life.
For those who know him, his sense of humor is starting to show again and his heart is as big as ever.
Our hope is that, through God's grace, mercy, and love, along with therapy, he will be able to regain some or all of his lost abilities and enjoy life with his family and friends. We thank you for supporting Arnulfo and for all of your prayers for his recovery.
With much appreciation and love,
Georgette, Luis, and Armand Cantu
