Hi, I’m Peyton Sage, I’m a 22 year old trans woman

After 10 years on the NHS waiting list, I finally had my long-awaited gender affirming vaginoplasty this month, which still feels a bit unreal to say.

Unfortunately, life lined a few things up at once. I recently experienced a loss in my family, which meant taking some time away from work, and now I’m recovering from surgery on minimum wage sick pay while rent very much continues as normal.

I live with two lovely people who rely on my share of the bills, and I also need to keep a roof over my head while I spend the next three to six months recovering, mostly rolling around in pain or trying to remember how to walk properly,
