Recovery From Car Accident To Cancer

Donation protected
My big sister has always been involved in some sort of volunteerism. Whether it was at a camp, church, in recovery or for a community organization, Jenelle was always on the go trying to be of service.

January 2020 my sister was attending a recovery conference. She was excited to learn about becoming a circuit-speaker for sobriety conferences and had goals of becoming a trauma mentor. While leaving the conference she was in a fatal accident with a drunk driver who perished at the scene. My sister suffered blunt chest trauma among other injuries. Her chest injuries lingered and worsened through 2020 and in November she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. She was immediately put into surgery for a port and spent the holidays in fear of her future. She was eager to move on from 2020 as I'm sure we all were, but 2021 proved to not start any better. Chemotherapy began January 2021. It has made her very ill and stripped her of her pretty, long hair. Jenelle tells people her vanity may be gone, but her faith is not. When she completes chemo she will have surgery then radiation.  She is looking forward to 2022 but also fears "what's next?"

This is life changing for anyone. My sister still keeps her wits about her and her positivity is magnetic. That doesn't change the fact that her stress is real. She is a single mom and all she dreams of is giving her daughter a better life. I know her finances are tough. I know she is pinching pennies and she lives across the U.S. from all of her family so she doesn't have us close right now to care for her. My sister is currently on a multitude of medicine and has to take vitamins and eat a careful diet because she is anemic.

I know this is not easy for her.
I am humbly asking for help for my sister. If you have it in your heart to donate any bit will help her pay for medication, healthy food, wigs and to continue to payfor her rent, utilities and daughter. She has to make it through the year of an aggressive treatment plan followed by years of maintenance while in remission.

If you are unable to contribute please add Jenelle to your prayer list. Many thanks and God bless everyone.
