On December 28th we discovered that our beloved local Lyons Flower Shop, Living Arts Floral Designs located at 324 Main Street, Studio B (behind Gateway Reality) had flooded over the weekend from burst pipes when the weather in town reached record lows of 11 degrees below 0. Despite all efforts to prepare the store, the location of the pipes along the outer wall created a condition that was no match for the record lows the town faced. It was unclear at the time of discovery how long the water had been standing, and now the business is out of commission while the building undergoes restoration from the damages. In light of mold concerns the business awaits the testing and mitigation process and has been informed that we may be out of a location to service the Lyons community for up to several months.

The timing of this crisis was unfortunate as the flower shop has already been forced to reject a considerable amount of business in the weeks since the cold snap, and would normally be preparing for one of the biggest holidays of the year - Valentine's Day, which the business relies on consistently each year for operational support.

We are reaching out to the community which we have served for 17 years for your help. We have seen the amazing efforts that this town is capable of when coming together to support a neighbor and have always been so inspired and grateful to be a part of such a supportive collective.
