Hi, my name is Leah Kimmel, and on May 17, I was in a severe head-on collision that resulted in multiple serious injuries. I was left with several broken bones, including the left leg with an Achilles fracture, left upper and lower arm, left collar bone, and right arm. I also incurred lacerations to the forehead resulting in a concussion and many scrapes and bruises on most of my body. I had to endure both trauma and orthopedic surgeries. Due to the accident, I have been out of work for a few weeks. My mom also took off work for almost an entire month to provide the 24/7 care I required.
