Recovery for the Fierro Family after total loss

By Ivan Fierro -Few things are as devastating in life as a home fire. On Saturday August 22 in the city of
McAllen, Texas, while my father was in what had been our home for many years, he heard
a noise that, fortunately, took him outside to see what was going on. After stepping outside,
my father found one of his cars, which was inside the garage, on fire. Very shortly the fire
spread across the entire house taking with it everything on its way. As much as he tried to
stay calm, the only thing he could do was call the fire brigade since the flames were
burning everything around him.
While the firefighters arrived, my father watched as all the work of much of his life along
with so many memories of his entire family, being devoured by the incessant fire without
being able to do anything. Once the firefighters arrived, my father had to painfully watch
for countless hours the terrifyingly fire consumed all his work for years and years. After the
flames were out, the firefighters asked my father if there was anything he wanted to see if
he could rescue anything from what was left. Once inside the disaster, all my father could
see were his cars were completely destroyed, his work tools that he had bought with so
much effort were completely melted and how every corner where at some point there were
smiles from his children, his wife and his grandchildren were simply burned to the ground.
There are things in life that one cannot explain and understand, if there is a person in this
world who is a great father, husband, grandfather, son, uncle and brother, that is my father
Daniel; he is such a good person in this world, he did not deserve to see how everything he
had worked for during his life was reduced to ashes.

Today, in a very humble way and quite sad for what happened, I ask for help from
everyone who reads this to help my father recover a little of what he had. My father is a
happy and good soul who unfortunately lost everything; Thank God, he was able to survive
to this horrible disaster and I have him with us. My mother, sister and I, will do our best to
help him recover a little of what, for him and us, it took so much work to obtain. I want you
to know that any contribution that comes from your heart, no matter how big or very small,
will be used in its entirety to help a great person to get ahead after something as sad and
devastating as losing everything to a fire. If you cannot help us at the moment, I ask you to
help us by sharing this fundraiser.
We may not be able to recover everything and many sentimental things were lost, but if you
can help a great person in this world to get back on their feet. May God multiply to you and
your beloved ones what you decide to help my father with. God bless.

Hay pocas cosas que son tan devastadoras en la vida como el incendio de un hogar. El
sábado 22 de agosto en la ciudad de McAllen, Texas, mientras que mi padre se encontraba
en lo que por muchos años había sido nuestro hogar, escucho un ruido que afortunadamente
lo puso a salvo de un incendio devastador. Al salir, se encontró con uno de sus carros en
llamas. Por más que intento mantenerse en calma, lo único que pudo hacer fue llamar a los
bomberos, ya que las llamas estaban quemando todo a su alrededor.
Mientras que llegaban los bomberos, mi padre vio como todo el trabajo de gran parte de su
vida junto con tantos recuerdos de toda su familia, eran devorados por el fuego incesante.
Una vez que llegaron los bomberos mi padre tuvo que observar por horas como de manera
aterradora el fuego consumía todo su trabajo de años y años. Una vez extinguidas las
llamas, los bomberos le preguntaron a mi padre si había algo que quisiera sacar de entre los
escombros. Al pasar a ver que podría rescatar, solo paso para ver que sus carros estaban
completamente destrozados, sus herramientas de trabajo que con tanto esfuerzo había
comprado estaban completamente derretidas y todo aquel rincón donde en algún momento
había sonrisas de sus hijos, su esposa y sus nietos simplemente se redujo a cenizas.
Simplemente, todo se perdió y nada se pudo rescatar.
Hay cosas en la vida que uno no se explica y no comprende, si hay una persona en este
mundo que es un gran padre, marido, abuelo, hijo, tío y hermano, ese es mi padre y se una
persona tan buena en este mundo, no merecía ver como todo por lo que había trabajado
durante su vida se redujo a cenizas.
Hoy, de manera muy humilde y bastante triste por lo acontecido, pido ayuda a toda persona
que lea esto para ayudar a que mi padre recupere un poco de lo que tenía. Mi padre es un
alma alegre y buena que desgraciadamente lo perdió todo; gracias a Dios, sobrevivió algo
que pudo haber sido peor y lo tengo conmigo, mi mama, hermana y yo, haremos hasta lo
imposible por ayudarle a recuperar un poco de lo que, a él y a nosotros, nos costó tanto
trabajo tener. Quiero que sepas que cualquier aportación que salga de tu corazón por muy
grande o muy pequeña que sea, será usada en su totalidad para ayudar a una grandiosa
persona para salir adelante después de algo tan triste y devastador como lo es perder todo
por un incendio. Si es que no puedes ayudarnos en este momento, te pido que nos ayudes
compartiendo este fondo de alivio.
Quizás no podamos recuperar todo y muchas cosas sentimentales se perdieron, pero si
puedes ayudar a que una gran persona en este mundo se pueda poner de pie de nuevo.
