Aid for Pierre recovery expenses

Pierre is an absolute fighter! The second surgery was successful. Prayers are being answered daily. The breathing tube has been removed and he is breathing on his own. He has been fitted with a trach at this point. Moved out of critical care but still hospitalized. The next step will be getting Pierre from Topeka to Nebraska where he will receive top medical assistance with possibly learning to regain the use of his limbs and hopefully walk again. While he has been accepted into the program there are still many fees associated with this process to see Pierre through. Fundraising for Pierre Johnson (#24 in the picture). I have known Pierre for over a decade and coached him during his younger years in basketball dating back to Biddy basketball here in Wichita KS. To know him is to love him. He went on to play basketball in high school and collegiate with stops at Hutch juco for coach Eck and a couple other spots. He's now a father of an almost 2 year old son and in recent time decided it was time for him to share his talents and give his time as others had done for him in mentoring and coaching young men. Unfortunately Pierre was in a severe car accident early this morning. He and another young man were ejected from the car during the accident. Both suffered severe injuries. Pierre is said to be paralyzed and in critical condition. He was traveling back to Wichita from a basketball tournament and transported to a Topeka hospital and is now undergoing surgery. Ido not know all of the fees associated with such a tragedy. What I know he and family will be faced are: Travel and hotel expenses, upfront medical fees, long term medical fees.
