Recovery for Peter Bazos
Hi, my name is Nicole Bazos and I'm asking for donations for my Dad (Peter Bazos) for help with his recovery.
My Dad was admitted into the hospital with Covid-19 and double pneumonia. After day 6 in the hospital, he was approved to come home with oxygen and was very happy to be home with his family. Unfortunately, 12 hours later he suffered a severe stroke and was rushed to the hospital. He has a blood clot on the right side of his brain and is now paralyzed on the left side of his body. He had severe swelling on his brain, which led to emergency surgery to relieve the pressure of the brain. He made it through surgery and is resting comfortably on a ventilator. He is intubated but is following simple commands. Fortunately, my family and I, were allowed one short visit where we were able to see my Dad through the glass window. We feel he knew we were there.
With this being said, we are more than anything asking for continuous prayers and anything that anyone can help with towards medical bills and therapy for his recovery process.
Anyone that knows my Dad, knows he is the first to the help someone in need. My Dad has a heart of Gold. He has always had a passion for sports and being active. However, his forever loves have always been his twin daughters, Nicole and Susanne. He played high school football at St.Thomas Aquinas, He played college football at Florida State University, and did have the opportunity of trying out to play professionally on the Philadelphia Eagles. He has been an avid softball player for over 30 years and loved working out in the gym. He was always known to be very active and in shape and never let his age stop him. Whenever possible, my Dad would always choose to be out on a boat out in the ocean fishing with his friends.
He is a first responder and works for the Department of Corrections. He was also prior employed with BSO (Broward Sheriffs office). We know that every organization my dad was ever involved with, he has always been well loved.
