On Saturday, December 5th, Kyle and I hopped on the bike for a quick little ride to the end of our road and back again. Our ride lasted about 5 minutes, but as we were approaching our driveway, there’s a fork in the road with gravel and we lost control and wiped out, laying the bike over and us flying off.

We both had surgeries Sunday, to my elbow and knee and Kyle to both elbows, leg, and gash above the eye, but quite a long road to recovery for both of us. SO blessed that neither of us had TBIs (traumatic brain injury).

Unfortunately, Kyle’s new health insurance doesn’t start til January! I plan to speak with the social worker about (hopefully) receiving discounted fees/charity, but I know we will still  have a large balance, plus with it being Christmas, it’s so overwhelming!
