Recovery for Dylan

Donation protected

Dylan has become a hero to everyone who knows him. He has always been a combination of respectful, friendly, and a little rascal, who LOVES riding bikes and will ALWAYS do what is morally right. His mom always says "look for the kid with the biggest smile and you’ll find my boy". So, it is no surprise that in the early morning hours of March 20th, Dyl chose to do the morally right thing, as he stood up to protect his sister and was struck in the head with a blow torch, fracturing his skull. He was flown to Queen's Medical Center on Oahu and placed in ICU where he had brain bleeding that developed into a clot. He underwent surgery to remove the clot, at which time they discovered that they needed to place a metal plate with screws in his head to help fuse his skull back together. As a result of his injury, he currently has paralysis on his left side with little to no movement in his left arm and leg. He has a long road of recovery ahead of him. His mom and sisters are by his side, offering him all of their love and support. We are hoping this fundraiser will help to cover their unexpected expenses that have resulted from this tragedy. Please consider donating and sharing this page with friends and family. Every dollar helps us to get closer to our goal, so no donation is too small. Mahalo nui loa for your consideration.
