On Sunday, September 4th, our brother Dennis Psarev had a near death experience that will impact him for the rest of his life. At 26 years of age, Dennis suffered a seizure that caused him to go into respiratory arrest and then cardiac arrest. If it wasn't for God's perfect timing where he was surrounded by family that were able to resuscitate him, we would have lost him. Dennis was immediately rushed to the hospital where the doctors discovered he had dislocated and fractured both his shoulders during his seizure. The following day surgeons had to perform an urgent surgery to set and repair his shoulders. After a week recovering in the hospital, Dennis was finally released to go home to start his journey of recovery.
In the three years prior to the incident, Dennis struggled with mental health challenges such as severe anxiety. He was prescribed various medications to help with his mental health challenges but according to the ER doctors, these medications were a major cause of his seizure and resulting complications.
Dennis had to stop working a while back to focus on overcoming his mental health challenges. Because of this, he had no medical insurance at the time of this incident. Going forward, Dennis has a significant recovery and rehabilitation needs to get him to a state of normal arm and shoulder function. He will need several months of physical therapy and longer term mental health therapy to get him back on track to living a normal life.
We have created this GoFundMe campaign to gather funds to help Dennis with his rehabilitation costs. If you have ever had the privilege of crossing paths with Dennis, you know that he is one of the most kind, friendly, and genuine people that you will ever meet. While Dennis has a long road ahead of him, our family is filled with gratitude that God gave him a second chance at life and hope for the future.
Thank you for your support and please continue to keep Dennis in your prayers.
