On February 1st, at about 11:00PM, Tracy was abruptly alarmed by the smell of smoke in her home. When she couldn’t determine where it was coming from, she woke Tom, who went upstairs to check and was horrifyingly met by flames. He yelled to Tracy, who grabbed Ace, their dog, and quickly ran outside and called 911. They were then left to stand in the cold and watch, as flames and smoke, engulfed their home of 21 years.

Thankfully they are both physically ok, and their daughter Sadie, was not home at the time. Sadly, Sadie lost her guinea pig, “Soup” in the fire. The cause of the fire was electrical leaving the attic, second floor, and everything upstairs as a total loss, with extensive water damage to the first floor. All of Sadie’s earthly possessions were lost.

As they try and piece their lives back together, they are left without the basic things we often take for granted such as clothing, food, and pet supplies for Ace. While extremely blessed that no one was hurt, Tom, Tracy, and Sadie have a long road of rebuilding ahead of them.
