Recovery for Cindy due to the McKinney Fire
Donation protected
The McKinney wildfire devastated the entire town of Klamath River, California, and our dear friend Cindy lost everything.
Cindy is a pillar in the Klamath River community, If you have ever eaten a sandwich, salad, or a piece of pie at Quigley's then you have enjoyed Cindy's amazing cooking skills. Cindy is not only known far and wide for her pie baking skills, but for her generosity, helpful spirit, and her love of community. There are too many community events to list that Cindy and her partner Patty hosted, lead, cooked for, and made into community tranditions. For years Cindy led a kitchen team that hosted monthly community breakfasts to raise money for the Klamath River Community hall. She is known to always be available to help a neighbor in need and to get others to help as well!
Cindy's property has an origional home that dated back to the 1900's. It was land that was worked, and maintained and became a forever home to Cindy and Patty over the past 32 years. After losing Patty to cancer in 2018 Cindy continued to maintain the land and allow the community to run cattle and other ranching activities. The McKinney wildfire took Cindy's home, the blacksmith shed, the woodshed, the orginal shop and all the equiptment found on a working ranch. Everything is gone.
Please help us give Cindy the support she needs to get back on her feet and rebulild her life in the community she so loves.
