Recovery for a stolen bicycle.
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Thassana, and I'm fundraising for recovery of my stolen bike. I'm reaching out with a heavy heart. My bike was recently stolen from Superstore's parking lot in front of a lot of people walking past, but it has on one can stop the thief from stealing. It was on the news (please see the video clip). This bike wasn't just for recreation. It was my mental reset for my depression when I immigrated to Canada and lived alone here. The thief doesn't only steal my bike; he also steals my soul as well.
About me: I'm originally from Thailand. After I immigrated to Canada in 2017, I have been dealing with a lot of depression from the culture shock, having a hard time making a new friend, and getting depressed from the season changing. I had started biking because I was landed in the town where the public transportation is limited, and I couldn't afford to buy a car at that time. I got my first bike after I had worked many months and used it to commute to work. After I've been biking for a while, I realized that cycling is helping me get out of the house even in the rain or snow. It isn't just transportation to work for me, but it's also helping me fight the depression while living alone in Canada. After using it, I had a dream to get a mountain bike to expand my biking and bring me joy and closer to nature more. I had been saving money for many years to buy my dream mountain bike, and I just bought my first proper mountain bike in July 2024. It has been helping me make new friends and clearing my mind out of depression during the wet months.
Replacing it is beyond my means right now, so I'm asking for your support to help fund a new bike and better security measures. Whether you're able to contribute or simply share this campaign, every little bit helps me get back to the trails and helps me get out of the depression.
Your generosity means the world. Thank you for helping me fight against depression and getting back to riding the bike again!
