A note from the Ray Brothers:
"It seems that life and family struggles are sadly the way of the world recently. There are so many things out of our control.
As business owners, especially in the restaurant business, we are able to talk to people from all over, including our staff who we consider our extended family. Struggles are real, some much more than others.
This past Memorial Day our brother-in-law, Jason Lounsbury, was in a horrific motorcycle accident.
Whenever someone tells us of their hardships, our first thought is "how can we help? What kind of people would we be if we don't do something to help?"
In this instance, we will be using our social media platforms to help and reach as many people as possible. Please share!
Jason's recovery is one of miracles but his fight is nowhere near over.
We have started this fundraiser in order to spread the word to those that feel the way we do - "if we can, we do!"
The RBQ family has started this funding platform by donating $500 towards Jason's continued recovery and fight to be the amazing husband, loving father, and great friend he once was and we know he will be again!
Please read his medical story from his wife Jillisa below. If you can donate, please do!
From our family to yours, we thank you for your continued love, support, and prayers!"

Jason’s medical story:
Jason was in a horrible motorcycle accident on May 30th 2022. He suffered multiple skull and facial fractures, multiple brain bleeds, 6 broken ribs, a broken scapula, and road rash all over his body. As a family, we were told to say goodbye to him that night. The medical team did not expect him to make it through the night. After 2 weeks of being in a medically induced coma, his intracranial pressures stabilized and he started breathing on his own for short periods of time. All sedation was removed but Jason was not regaining consciousness as they had hoped. At this time, he was transferred to a long-term acute care hospital. We were told that he may never fully wake up, if he did, he would never be the man he once was. He may never walk, talk, or eat on his own. After 3 weeks of being at this hospital, he was accepted into a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) rehabilitation hospital in Schenectady, NY. During the 5 weeks at this rehab, he regained consciousness, started walking, talking, and eating regular meals. He didn’t have to relearn to read, write, and spell which is almost unheard of with a severe TBI and loss of consciousness like his. We were also told that Jason’s personality would change and that he would struggle with anger, agitation, loss of empathy and love, etc. None of this has changed. Jason still has his quick wit and sense of humor. He is loving, caring, and so thankful to be alive. He has defied all the odds this far and we want to give him every shot at a full recovery.
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has been recommended to us to help him with cognitive improvement, vision, short- and long-term memory loss, balance, muscle weakness, and fatigue. This is not covered by insurance and the cost is more than we can bear alone.
How does Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) work?
Brain cells need oxygen to survive and function properly. Trauma to the brain disrupts the flow of oxygen to injured parts of the brain. This can cause cell damage and dysfunction. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy forces much more oxygen than normal into your blood vessels, which is known to promote healing in damaged and oxygen-starved tissues/cells.
