Julie and Dave Fite were residents of the Roaring Fork Valley for over 40 years and are dear friends to many of us. Dave was born and raised in the valley and Julie served as the Special Olympics Director for the Western Slope for many years servicing hundreds of athletes before her retirement in 2020. Julie and Dave reached their goal to move to Ft. Myers Beach, FL to live in Julie’s mother's home the “Coral Cottage” after her passing. Hurricane Ian wreaked havoc on Ft. Myers Beach on September 28th, including Dave and Julie’s home and their possessions. We are hoping to raise funds to help them with housing, and supplies and to rebuild their dream of retirement on Ft. Myers Beach. Our hearts are with Julie and Dave the whole community of FMB and the state of Florida, any contributions would be greatly appreciated.
