Recovery After Life Changing Car Crash

On August 4, 2025, I was traveling westbound on Interstate 80 when my life changed in an instant. I collided with a semi that was stopped in the middle of the highway—no warning signs, no cones, no flashes. The impact left me with a broken femur, ruptured spleen, broken sternum, punctured lung, broken ribs, bleeding on the brain, and a hand broken in multiple places. The road to recovery has been long and difficult, and I’m grateful to be alive to share my story.

Since the accident, I’ve faced overwhelming medical bills, lost wages, and the cost of ongoing care. My best friend Matt Johnson, my separated wife Lexi Mignerey, Morgan, and a close family member have helped me through the worst moments, but I’m on my own now since being released from the hospital. I lost my only vehicle in the crash, and I’m learning to walk again while trying to get to and from doctor appointments. Every day brings new challenges, and I’m doing my best to stay strong and keep moving forward.
