I'm Luis Alfaro, father of Nicole and Luis Alberto, husband of Betty and owner of Boots the Cat. My Family and I live in Mexico City in a very humble house. Today, we are most fortunate to share this story after losing everything we had in our home during a fire.

In the past January 23rd, after getting ready to finish a long day of work and once my wife prepared Nicole and Alberto's things for the next day of school, we went to sleep as usual. During the night a fire suddenly started in our home with us inside! I woke up in the middle of the night to a house full of smoke. My first reaction was to save my family, and among screams and panic, we took our children and pet out of the house. Thankfully, we were all able to make it outside unharmed.

After that, with the help of our relatives, neighbors and the fire department we were able to extinguish the fire that was spreading rapidly. Unfortunately, the fire made considerable damage to our property and destroyed most of our belongings. Our house is now uninhabitable, our family is disconsolate by the loss. Although we are grateful to have survived, we feel helpless and heartbroken.

For this reason, today I share my story with you as we embark on our way to put our lives back together. From the bottom of our hearts, we humbly ask that you share this link with friends and family and if possible, donate (any amount will help)
