Recovering from Lily's loss.

Hi, I'm Phil, and I just lost one of my best friends.

Lily was a sweet little dog that I rescued about three years ago. She really helped fill a void in my lonely life, keeping me company when I was home alone, watching my back during late night horror movies, and giving me a reason to leave the house.

Sadly, although she wasn't quite ten years old, she was struck by a sudden attack of Pancreatitis and went downhill fast. Almost overnight. Despite the vets best efforts, she passed away Monday, Jan 31st.

I'm very grateful for the doctor's efforts, and that I had enough in savings to cover the cost, however the expense took a huge toll of what little I had saved for the future, taking nearly half of bank savings.

I know money won't replace my pups companionship, but it'll at least give me peace of mind for the future, and one less thing to worry about, as I'm already on a fixed income.

I don't really expect to recover the full amount, but I'd be grateful for anything you could spare. It would help a lot.

And who knows, maybe in a few months I'll be ready to welcome a new friend into my life.
