Recovering Casa Kan
Donation protected
Familia! Our beloved wachalal/brother and talented Tzutu Kan needs our help.
On the night of the 9th of May “La casa Kan” (“The house of the Serpent”), Tzutu’s home and dream project was set on fire intentionally for unknown reasons.
Tzutu has spent the las 10 years working as an artist and slowly saving money to building this place, his home and home for the Mayan ancestral knowledge.
We are very moved about this incident and we reach out to the family around the world to raise the funds and energy to support Tzutu on his way to recover Casa Kan.
Tzutu is a Mayan hip hop artist, painter, muralist, rapper, school teacher and activist who’s mission to preserve and evolve Mayan traditions has taken him around the world and has inspired him to start education projects for kids in Lake Atitlán, Guatemaya.
Together we can help Tzutu continue this path. We know his home is worth a lot more than money.
“El fuego regenera.... mi casa, la casa Kan fue quemada... pero nada dentendrá el sueño de reconstruir la cultura maya.”
