The Hawaii Mutual Aid Network has asked Ohana seeking Hurricane Lowell relief funds to establish a GoFundMe initiative along with our application for funding.

I am raising funds to help my Ohana recover from Hurricane Lowell, which hit parts of Kauai island in the Hawaiian archipelago pretty badly on September 7 and 8, 2026. Our Ohana has a homestead in the western part of the island, Puu Opae area, pastoral lots. My brother resides on and works this land.

We are a small, family operation that uses our beef for family consumption and donations to a couple of charitable organizations. We have not sold beef commercially.

In addition to road and water access being cut off, we have damages to our internal pipes and tanks that bring water to our cattle. We have lots of fencing damage from large trees falling on them. High winds from Lowell, as well as tornado activity, took out fruit trees as well as our tree line. The tree line protected most of our structures.
