This is hard and humbling for us to create this gofundme, but the serious outpouring and love from the community have been overwhelming and we would never think in a million years that all of yall would want to help in the recovery process.

Over the memorial day weekend, we were heartbroken to wake up and see someone had taken something that meant so much to us. Our tamale carts are more than just a source of income, they honestly are a part of our identity as a company and as individuals. This burglary was different because they just didn't take a purse or sunglasses or even an iPad, they stole one of our complete catering set-ups including a: company van, two of our custom carts, our trailer, and all our catering supplies from the weekend ( estimating over $30k worth). They are the cornerstone of our identity as The Tamale Company and what keeps us in business.

We are still in works with the police and our insurance companies, but as of right now we have no leads and our insurance only covers a fraction of the replacements for our custom carts and trailer and van. We want to keep being an active contributor to our community in Duncanville and DFW alike, but we need your help. Every dollar donated will help us get replacements for these items and thus get back into the community so we can do what we do best, push tamales and make folks happy.
