Recover from Shibata’s surgery

Hi everyone, Nicole9Volt here...So we’ve been renting a room from a friend for the past 9 months, to help us get back on our feet. We’re starting complete fresh.. no furniture.. no mattress... nothing.
We were able to save about 5k, which would allow us to put a down payment on a place and get the things we need to live there..
Well... Shibata (my 3 year old German Shepherd) got sick... we took him to a specialist to find out he ate a face mask (of all things) and the rubber band part got wrapped around his insides. He was going to die in 24 hours if we didn’t do surgery...
Now If you know a little about me. I’m infertile. And it’s been very emotional for me.. my dogs, are my children. They are a top priority for me.
So when the doctor said it would be $4,500 dollars... we paid it.
Shibata is in recovery now.. wearing his cute little cone that he keeps knocking things over with. LoL... I’m so happy.. it’s only been two days and he’s back to himself.... with a massive amount of staples in his stomach.
But here we are... with no money... and we have to find a place by the end of September because the friend we are living with, is moving herself... so we need an exit plan..
Only thing is.. we spent every dime we saved.. we now don’t have the money for a down payment.. or money for any kind of furniture (I’m not picky.. I will go to goodwill for furniture)
I hate asking for help... but we need it.. badly.
We have no family to turn to as our parents and siblings are all basically living off of welfare and social security
