Help Linda & John Sellinger Rebuild from Hurricane Helene

My mom and stepdad, Linda and John Sellinger, have been severely impacted by Hurricane Helene over the past week. They live in Longboat Key, FL, which was decimated by this hurricane. Like many there, it has destroyed their rental home, their possessions, and the 55+ community that they loved and cherished. They won’t be able to return. They need to rebuild their life.

I started this page due to the outpouring of family and friends asking us how they can help them out. They are really touched.

There will be considerable costs to find them a new home, replace all of their possessions, auto repairs, and purchase critical medical equipment that was lost in the hurricane. We expect other expenses to surface as well.

The goal is lofty but most likely won’t cover all of the costs needed to get them back on their feet. Our immediate families have been awesome helping out to make sure they are in a safe place for the time-being. They have reached out to FEMA and the Veterans Administration to see what assistance they can provide, but this will take time for any benefits to come to fruition.
