Hi there, I am Andrew, I have been volunteering and working on farms and the growing community since 2013. I have grown several gardens growing tomatoes, leeks, butternut squash, broad beans, zuchinni, lettuce, asparagus, beets, carrot, green beans, kale, chard, kohlrabi, basil, mint supramama in Victoria B.C. (Heather Parker, Rainbow Kitchen), Schipluiden the Netherlands, (Linda 1, Linda 2) and Nanaimo B.C (Farmship growers cooperative, Morgan Creek Farm). I also have worked as an ebike mechanic building ebikes with Cal Whitings' Pedego Vancouver Island servicing hundres of ebikes new and used. This year I decided to put this altogether and build a dream of 20 years a small electric walk behind tractor for one of the farms that I volunteered at Farmship growers cooperative in Nanaimo. I have built a motor plate, fastened it to the gearbox, designed a gear and built controls. Today I am asking you for help because at the makerspace, the community lab where I am building the tractor there has been a theft. A 2 kw motor from Motoenergy, a 100Ah 48 volt battery from Wattcycle and a motor controller from Kelly controls has been "lifted" from makerspace, as well as the adaptor plate that I have been working on. My friends Brad, James and Kate as well as my friend Jenny and Isabelle would like to ask you for your support in continuing this project :):)
