Recover and Rebuild From Chimney Fire

Story

My name is Danielle and I'm the daughter of Allen Hazelton. Last night on 1/18/2024, a chimney fire started in my father's home, spreading through the walls and causing severe damage to the structure. The house was saved through the efforts of the Dorset Fire Department, but the damage caused by the fire and the water is significant. Our sources of heat--the pellet and wood stoves--are damaged, and will need to be replaced. The walls, insulation, mantles, and floors were all destroyed. The roof and walls have holes in them that need to be repaired. The chimney is cracked and will need to be fixed. I'm starting this fundraiser to lessen the financial burden on our family, and give us the resources needed to start to recover and rebuild. My dad Allen ran his own excavation and construction business in Dorset for many years--regrading your driveways, building your homes foundations, and doing any project asked of him. He built this home with his own two hands, from the ground up. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in our community. And we are asking for your help in return.
