Recover A Smile Lost In The Labyrinth

Hi there, it's your old pal Ragamuffin The Goblin Janitor (AKA Kevin Pearl) from The Labyrinth of Jareth's Masquerade's world-famous Goblin Cabaret. The gates have closed on this year's event, a magical time was had, and the dust has begun to settle as we wait another year until we can once again come together to celebrate all things fantastical.

Alas, amid last week's revelry, tragedy did strike one of the Sypher Volunteers! A fall was had, and a smile was stolen, but with your help we can hopefully get it back.

KT came to The Masquerade all the way from Florida to help bring things together this year. She arrived on Thursday and immediately set to work in the costuming department working well into the wee hours of Friday morning to help finish costumes and fine-tune details, all in preparation for the weekend's main event. On Saturday, she worked as a dresser assisting performers with their last-minute costume preparations in the frantic final moments before the curtain rose on The Crystal Stage and the gates to the realm of Sypher opened once more.

Then, shortly after 10pm on Saturday night, with the event well underway and everyone looking their finest, KT took an accidental tumble on the Biltmore Floor and sustain a significant injury to her mouth and front teeth. :(

The initial dental consultation has placed the cost to recover this lost smile between $3,000- $5,000

1 PA of tooth #9- $35

MDIFL bonding- $450-$600

Crown- $2000-$3000

Root Canal Therapy if necessary- $2500

Because the injury is considered cosmetic in nature, it is NOT covered by insurance. :(

The Sypher security and medical teams, along with the hotel staff, were absolutely amazing in making sure KT was kept safe and comfortable in the middle of the event last Saturday. KT has taken this all in stride and is determined to return to the wonderful world of LoJ next year.

KT face's absolutely lights up when she talks about the event she was a part of last weekend...

...But my heart absolutely breaks every time she has to hide the smile that was stolen from her because of what happened. So I've set up this fundraiser to help with the recovery efforts on the journey ahead.
