Recording Mic for Trio Menagerie
Hello! This is Rory Leonore, the cellist for Trio Menagerie!
Trio Menagerie is a string musical group of three friends who met through the furry fandom. Our mission is to bring classical music to audiences who may not ordinarily get to experience it in a personal way by creating our own arrangements of pop-culture music for string trio, and performing at conventions and nerd-centric spaces across the country. With our in-house composer, our goal is not only to champion classics of the string trio repertoire, but music of the modern day from the games, tv shows, and movies that we love.
Like so many other musicians, we are doing our best to adapt to the current limitations COVID has put on all of us. As live performance continue to be unsafe, we don't want to stop producing the content that we love! As I live in Chicago, our Violist in Boston, and our Violinist in New Hampshire, it is not feasible for us to meet in person until traveling is safer. So that means we need to set up to record from our home practice spaces. While our Violinist and Violist are set up with the proper equipment, my small snowball mic just can't handle that big cello sound to create quality singles.
What we are asking from our incredible fans and supporters is help in acquiring the equipment so that we can produce singles from home. With the help with the incredible tech from our latest album, who will be mixing our future singles, we have the mic selected. It is the AKG Pro Audio C414 XLS Instrument Condenser Microphone . With this and the talent of our tech, Shelby, we will have new amazing audio and video content for you up in no time! We have so many exciting plans including works by new composer, new arrangements, as well as videos me performing in my soon to be completed dinosaur suit!
We are already so lucky to have the support we've had to get where we are. We wouldn't be here without you, and that love and support keeps us going in producing the content we love! Times are tough, and it means more to us now more than ever. Even a dollar here and share there brings us closer to our goals!
