Record store flooded...need to relocate.

My name is A.C. The Program Director, owner and founder of HipHopPhilosophy.com Radio/Records/Art Gallery in downtown Los Angeles.

The shop flooded during the hurricane last weekend and now I can see that mold is growing out the ceiling...

We need a good new home for HipHop Philosophy Records...

During the hurricane storm last weekend, the rain gutter drainage system, in the building where I rent my record store, failed and the whole ceiling and walls filled up with water. Had 15 buckets catching water coming through holes in the ceiling and bursting through bubbles in the walls. Lots of valuable records, CDs and tapes, fine art, rare posters, merchandise and equipment was water damaged. To make matters worse, there has been a water proofing leak on my ceiling since I started renting here since 2015 and now there is lots of mold growing out of my ceiling, worrying me about my health after all these years of growing mold in my attic.

Now the owners have to rebuild the whole unit too to bottom, and I not only need to transport and store my whole store somewhere, I also live here so now I need to pay for a place to stay while they rebuild it. It would best to be able to find a new home for the shop and just move to a better place. Replacing all the damaged valuables is just a small part. I need to relocate and start over.

My store is a beautiful art gallery, record store and internet radio station that never plays the same song (HipHopPhilosophy.com & HHPRadio .com). As well as a recording studio and independent record label. Very much a museum and time capsule of HipHop's past, present and future. A true monument and testimony that HipHop culture is a a fine arts culture of artistic standards that only get better with time.
