I am a composer of contemporary classical music, and I am raising funds to help pay for a recording session of two recent compositions by a full symphony orchestra. My music gets performed, but sometimes the performance is not of recording caliber, sometimes it is not recorded at all, and other times I am not allowed to publicly use the recording that is made. I would like to disrupt this reality by utilizing opportunities available to me to hire a professional recording orchestra to make available recordings of two new works that have already been successfully performed. I am raising funds for the cost of the recording session itself, with any extra amount going toward my travel to Europe to conduct the orchestra.
