RECONSTRUCTION OF STEPHEN R. GALOGITHO

Fished out of the bushes of Tororo in Eastern Uganda by a Catholic Priest while hunting birds, STEPHEN RENNY GALOGITHO was given an opportunity to have a shot at life through education. He shone in academics that led him to pursuing a degree in medicine at one of Africa's prestigious Universities, Makerere University Kampala.
Cognizant of his humble and very poor background, he decided to champion the cause of the poor students in the University. That led him to run for the highest student leadership position of Guild President which he won. He risked everything by standing in the way of systems and the government that wanted to terminate the support that poor and needy students were getting. He paid the price: He was unjustly dismissed from the University just a semester shy of becoming a medical doctor.
Now 25 years down the road, he has been fished out by friends from the dumpster of life that he was reduced to. No roof over his head, going hungry, hardly anything to his name and person. Stephen Renny Galogitho, however, has not lost his wit, exuberance and hope. In his own words "My body is beaten up but my faith and hope are intact."
This fundraiser is to help reconstruct the life of this great potential that Stephen Renny Galogitho is, to give him a new lease of life so that he can realize his potential and continue to champion the cause of the poor who are crushed by unjust social systems. The intention is to have him complete his studies and eventually establish a "Galogitho Institute of Social Studies."
Stephen has friends allover the world who have come together for this cause and this gofundme is to enable many others to participate.
