Desde hace más de dos décadas, la Fundación La Brecha ha sido un lugar para cientos de personas que llegaron después de tocar fondo: hombres que lo habían perdido todo a causa de las adicciones, la exclusión, la violencia o la vida en la calle.

Muchos llegaron sin familia. Sin esperanza. Sin un lugar seguro donde dormir. Y aquí encontraron algo que parecía imposible: una segunda oportunidad.

En el Complejo de Restauración Visión Rescate aprendieron un oficio, recibieron acompañamiento psicológico y espiritual, recuperaron su dignidad y comenzaron de nuevo. Sin embargo, un reciente doble terremoto sacudió nuestra región en La Guaira y lo cambió todo en un instante.

El sismo derrumbó techos, fracturó paredes y destruyó los espacios seguros donde más de 100 personas reconstruían sus vidas. Hoy, 30 de los valientes usuarios se mudaron al terreno de Carayaca, en condiciones precarias a la espera de la reconstrucción, mientras decenas más esperan con angustia que volvamos a restituir inmediatamente el cobijo y la atención terapéutica.

Y aunque perdieron su infraestructura, no perdieron la convicción de seguir adelante.

De las ruinas a la oportunidad: El Plan de Reconstrucción

Junto al Pastor Carlos Rodríguez, la Fundación La Brecha, Unidos 2 Give Foundation, Unidos en Red, Venezuela sin Límites y el equipo técnico de Ingeniería RYH C.A. desarrollamos un plan profesional para recuperar el complejo de manera progresiva, segura y sostenible.

Se trata de una reconstrucción estructurada en fases que permitirá recuperar espacios habitacionales, restablecer servicios esenciales y desarrollar áreas productivas capaces de generar sostenibilidad para el centro a largo plazo.

El objetivo es claro: volver a levantar un lugar donde hombres en situación de vulnerabilidad puedan recuperarse, rehabilitarse y prepararse para reintegrarse a la sociedad.

Además, gran parte de la mano de obra será aportada por los propios beneficiarios que se encuentran en Carayaca, como parte de sus procesos de rehabilitación y formación, transformando la reconstrucción en una herramienta de recuperación personal.

Nuestra primera meta: 50.000 dólares

Para restablecer la operatividad urgente del centro en las próximas 3 semanas, necesitamos ejecutar la Fase I, enfocada en la Casa Principal.

For more than two decades, Fundación La Brecha has been a place for hundreds of people who arrived after hitting rock bottom: men who had lost everything to addiction, exclusion, violence, or life on the streets.

Many arrived without family. Without hope. Without a safe place to sleep. And here they found something that seemed impossible: a second chance.

At the Vision Rescue Restoration Complex, they learned a trade, received psychological and spiritual support, recovered their dignity, and started over. However, a recent double earthquake shook our region in La Guaira and changed everything in an instant.

The quake collapsed roofs, cracked walls, and destroyed the safe spaces where more than 100 people were rebuilding their lives. Today, 30 of the brave participants have moved to the Carayaca site, living in precarious conditions while awaiting reconstruction, while dozens more wait anxiously for us to immediately restore shelter and therapeutic care.

And although they lost their infrastructure, they did not lose their determination to move forward.

From Ruins to Opportunity: The Reconstruction Plan

Together with Pastor Carlos Rodríguez, Fundación La Brecha, Unidos 2 Give Foundation, Unidos en Red, Venezuela sin Límites and the technical team from Ingeniería RYH C.A., we developed a professional plan to restore the complex progressively, safely, and sustainably.

This is a phased reconstruction that will recover housing spaces, restore essential services, and develop productive areas capable of generating long-term sustainability for the center.

The goal is clear: to rebuild a place where vulnerable men can recover, rehabilitate, and prepare to reintegrate into society.

In addition, much of the labor will be provided by the beneficiaries themselves at Carayaca, as part of their rehabilitation and training process, turning the reconstruction into a tool for personal recovery.

Our First Goal: $50,000

To restore urgent operations at the center within the next 3 weeks, we need to carry out Phase I, focused on the Main House.
