My name is Darren McIntyre, and I am the founder of B.A.D.J.M. Inc. (Brothers Against Drugs, Jail, Murder), a nonprofit organization dedicated to rebuilding lives, strengthening families, and breaking cycles that harm our communities.

I am raising funds to support our Reconnect Program, an initiative created to help incarcerated parents maintain meaningful relationships with their children through in-person visits.

For many families, the greatest barrier to staying connected isn’t love — it’s distance, transportation, and cost.

Children suffer when they are separated from their parents with no way to visit. Parents suffer when they miss milestones, birthdays, and moments that matter. Over time, that distance becomes emotional, not just physical. The Reconnect Program exists to prevent that.

Why This Matters

Too many children grow up feeling forgotten, confused, or abandoned — not because their parents don’t care, but because they can’t get there.

Reconnect provides:

• Safe, reliable transportation to visitation facilities

• Structured, supervised visits

• Supportive activities that help parents and children rebuild trust and communication

These visits don’t just create moments — they restore bonds, improve emotional health, and support successful family reunification after incarceration.

Keeping families connected reduces trauma, lowers recidivism, and gives children

The funds raised will directly support:

• Servicing and preparing our transportation van

• Fuel, insurance, and registration costs

• Program materials and family activity supplies

• Snacks and basic care for children during visit days

• Staff and driver support to ensure safe transportation

Every dollar raised helps keep our van on the road and families connected.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 which will allow us to:

• Fully service the van

• Launch multiple family visitation trips

• Support families who otherwise would not be able to visit their loved ones
