Support The Hideout Any Way You Can!!!
Donation protected
Dear Clients,
The Hideout has decided to once again offer limited services by appointment only.
For those that cannot support our shop in person, we ask that you continue to donate to our Go Fund me. Please keep in mind we have been closed for nearly half a year and are not expecting to be at full capacity any time soon. Any donations will go a long way to cover our overhead costs while we continue to navigate through the Covid 19 pandemic and state mandated closures.

We can no longer abide by state mandates that refuse to acknowledge our training and experience, re-enforces double standards between businesses, and that are at the detriment of small safe businesses throughout California.
The barbershop, beauty salon, and cosmetology industry have been hit hard by the California’s ‘Stay-At-Home’ COVID-19 orders. The ongoing shutdown-reopen-shutdown cycle leaves many of the states nearly 621,000 licensed and registered salons and barbershops facing a bleak future or in some cases no future at all.
Although granted permission to offer services outdoors, many shops and salons do not have the space, equipment, or insurance to perform full services outside. Additionally, with temperatures topping over 100 degrees in several parts of the state it is extremely unviable to perform services safely, securely and comfortably in this setting.
5 months into the closures, Governor Gavin Newsom has offered no indication as to when our industry will be permitted to fully open. Decisions to close us down have ignored the vigorous state training and education (1500 hours) on sanitation, hygiene, and safety barbers and cosmetologists undergo. Simultaneously, the governor has allowed big box store corporations, along with liquor stores and marijuana dispensaries with little to no training on public health (and thousands of people going in and out) to remain open while state licensed and trained professionals are being forced to close down
