UPDATE DECEMBER 01,2025:
Thank you to everyone for the help with the immense funeral expenses. It is incredibly humbling to see the outpouring of support from our family and friends and these funds have really helped our family. Rechelle and her children are loved and through the fogginess of all of our grief and loss, that much is crystal clear. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
We have sent $4300.00 of the funds to the funeral home McInnis & Holloway to support the funeral costs which totaled approximately $15,000. Although not expected, anything above this amount will assist their grandfather (my Father) who now has guardianship of both the children; with their healthcare, rehabilitation, recreational activities and schooling.
Any funds received from here on out will reside in an account managed by Rechelle's sister, with responsibility, honesty and transparency solely to support the children in their futures. Occasional updates will be posted here.
I can't say thank you enough, but here it is again - thank you for the support during this time. ♥️
A brief letter from Rechelle’s sister:
We are in shock with the loss of my sister Rechelle. She was the bridge in our family that brought everyone together as best as she could, she was such a bleeding heart and cared for people beyond her means consistently through her life. She was a mother to two children, Bowie and Luna, one of which is currently fighting cancer. She fought for her children fiercely and they deserve a proper goodbye and a place we can gather where her love can be discussed, celebrated and reminisce on her impact on people’s lives.
For myself, my sister helped me through my own hard times when she didn’t have the means - whatever that meant at the time. If I needed her; she never let me down. She always stuck by me despite me not always being deserving. She always forgave. She always supported. She was so incredibly funny and had the best way of comforting those she loved. If I’m able, I would like to do whatever I can to support her funeral costs and her young family that she made through these hard times ahead.
The cost of a funeral is an incredible burden on an already burdened family rife with struggles. I want to help give her what she would have done for me without a second thought if the situation were reversed. I want to have a place to gather and share in our love for Rechelle and get her friends and family here for her if possible. In the current climate, things are incredibly expensive and I know she would want me to help get those she loved here with her and her babies.
I appreciate any help in this final wish for Rechelle and thank you to everyone for loving and supporting her and her children.
We love you Rechelle, always.
