RECESS!Toys & Activities 4 DR Kids

I have had the privilege over the past 3 years to meet & get to know many of the kids at the Centro Educativo school in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. They are polite, motivated, smart and just want to have fun when they get a break from the classroom like any other kid.

During recess these 500 kids share a few hula hoops, 3 or so basketballs and a couple soccer balls. Unfortunately the vast majority of these children and their respective teachers grow up in poverty. They don't know, expect nor can afford basic school supplies let alone the outdoor activities and toys many of us grew up with on the playground.

That's about to change with #ProjectRecess...

I'm raising money so we can provide chalk, jump ropes, frisbees, baseball bats/balls & hopefully a playground and many more to these kids during my trip to the school in the DR the first week in May. A little goes a long way, especially when my amazing company (Edrington) will double match all donations! Skip the Starbucks and get involved! As little as $5 will equate to $15 with the double matching program & make such a difference in these children's lives.
