RECENT FLOODS DAMAGED MY DAUGHTER'S FAMILY HOME 16.9.2024
Donation protected

16.12.2024, 3 months since the disaster, the house is finally dry, walls repaired and floor in the main area installed. That means the family of 4 moved back home just before Christmas. There is no kitchen yet, so cooking is limited to 2-burner hot plate; washing dishes is carried out in the bathroom BUT they are HOME. Thanks to your kind donations. LOTS OF LOVE and all the best in the new year 2025, all you kind people
FLOODS UPDATE: It has been 4 weeks since my daughter's-family newly purchased townhouse near Vienna was flooded. The whole cellar and up to 1.2m in hight of the living space. Unfortunately, the problem doesn't go away with the water leaving.. The house is still being dried out which is difficult in continuous rainy weather and winter approaching. Neither heating/hot water nor electricity downstairs is working. ..long way and lots of work to go till it will be livable again.. such a nightmare, that doesn't go away.. every morning we are waking up to this terrible reality.. thank you so much again for your support and love.. god bless ❤️❤️❤️

Edit: many people have asked to donate to the family directly, this is possible at:
Hi, my name is Olga and I am fundraising for my daughter Lucia's family.
Once a happy family, my daughter Lucia, her husband Berni and Amelie (11) and Felix (3) enjoying hot European summer days in August, faced a nightmare drama in
On Saturday, 14.9.2024, their recently purchased dream home – a ½ of duplex house in a small Village of Purkersdorf near Vienna, Austria was within a couple of hours filled up with muddy water due to catastrophic rains.
They are home owners for 3weeks only so unfortunatelly NO INSURANCE yet.
It happened so fast; they tried to save as much as they could, but was not possible.
The water filled up the whole cellar with all its content, gas hot water unit, washing machine, freezer.. and went up to 1,2m height of the ground floor living area swallowing the kitchen with its appliances, fridge with its content, destroying cabinets, bench top..
The whole living/dining area lost its wooden floor cover in no time. The walk-in-robe by the entry as well as bathroom cabinets are all destroyed.
And what’s next? The house is not livable at the moment, electricity does not work in some parts of the house (eg. kitchen) and it is not clear if extensive electrical repair will be required.
With cold days approaching, the heating system and hot water functionality is the priority, since the gas thermal boiler was submerged under water in the cellar.
All cabinetry needs to be changed in the kitchen, bathroom, walk-in-robe. Flooring needs to be purchased and installed. All appliances need to be replaced.
All the above needs to be done asap after the house will dry out. Because life needs to go on with school and work. The family can not stay with relatives and friends for too long.
Therefore, any kind donation will be appreciated. Even if your donation amount will buy 1-2m2 of floor covering, it will all add up at the end to help.
Thank you kindly
