Hola mi nombre es Erika Vanessa Gomez Melendez. En la noche del Primero de Abril mi primo Enrique se quejaba de un dolor de cabeza y tenía escalofríos. Yo le di una Tylenol y todos nos fuimos a dormir. El siguiente día yo lo encontré desmayado en el pisa del baño y ligero llame al 911. Cuando llegaron ellos el estaba inconsciente, el le dieron primeros auxilios para que el regresara y reaccionara. Con los auxilios lograron despertarlo solo para que él respondiera su nombre y a donde el estaba. De allí el ya no volvió a estar consciente. Se lo llevaron al hospital, y lo tuvieron allí todo el día, corriendo exámenes y tratando de resucitarlo, pero tristemente ya no se pudo hacer nada. El falleció entre las 8 PM - 8:30 PM en la noche del 2 de Abril.

Enrique era una persona amigable, respetuoso, y siempre tenia una sonrisa en su cara. El equipo de su trabajo en Gerry’s Grill Houston, lo va extranar mucho. El llevaba aquí un poco más de año, pero era un parte esencial del equipo. Cuando una entra a la cocina del lado izquierdo el era quien se veía primero por estar en la parrilla y siempre lo saludaba a uno felizmente. El llego aquí a Houston, TX de San Pedro Sula, Honduras en Noviembre 2023. El deja una hija de 14 años, Zyhan Alejandra Torres. Siempre será recordado por ser trabajador, cariñoso, y una gran persona.

Estoy aquí porque necesito ayuda para recaudar fondos y para poder repatriar su cuerpo a Honduras. Esto es para que su madre, Zoila Melendez, pueda darle cristiana sepultura. Con cualquier monto que puedan ayudar, nosotros y su familia estaremos mas que agradecidos.

Hello, my name is Erika Vanessa Gomez Melendez. On the night of April First, my cousin Enrique complained of a headache and had chills. I gave him a Tylenol and we all went to sleep. The next day I found him fainted on the bathroom floor and I swiftly called 911. When they arrived he was unconscious, they gave him first aid so that he would return and react. With their help they managed to wake him up only to him being able to state his name and where he was. From there he fainted again and was no longer conscious again. They took him to the hospital, and they had him there all day, running tests and trying to resurrect him, but sadly nothing could be done anymore. He died between 8 PM - 8:30 PM on the night of April 2.

Enrique was a friendly, respectful person, and always had a smile on his face. The team of his work at Gerry's Grill Houston, will miss him a lot. He had been here a little over a year, but he was an essential part of the team. When one enters the kitchen on the left side, he was the one who was seen first for being on the grill and always greeted one happily. He arrived here in Houston, TX from San Pedro Sula, Honduras in November 2023. He leaves a 14-year-old daughter, Zyhan Alejandra Torres. He will always be remembered for being hardworking, affectionate, and a great person.
