Hello, my name is Michu

Almost 16 years ago, my human rescued me from the streets and gave me a second chance at life. Since that day, we have been inseparable. Together we have gone through many challenges, including a long journey—leaving Venezuela and arriving in the United States two years ago.

Over time, my health has become more fragile. I was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, and recently my condition worsened when I was diagnosed with pancreatitis. In addition, for reasons that are still unknown, my calcium levels remain dangerously high, requiring ongoing tests, hospitalizations, treatments, and constant veterinary care.

Unfortunately, I do not have pet insurance, and all medical expenses have fallen entirely on my human. She has done everything in her power—and more—to keep me alive, comfortable, and happy, but the veterinary costs have become overwhelming.

That is why we are reaching out for help today

Hola, mi nombre es Michu

Hace 15 años y 11 meses mi humana me rescató de la calle y, desde ese día, me regaló una segunda oportunidad de vida. Juntos hemos pasado por muchas cosas, incluso un gran viaje: salimos de Venezuela y hace dos años llegamos a Estados Unidos, siempre unidos.

Desde hace algún tiempo mi salud se ha visto afectada. Fui diagnosticado con enfermedad renal crónica, y recientemente mi condición se complicó aún más cuando los veterinarios me diagnosticaron pancreatitis. Además, por razones que aún se están investigando, mis niveles de calcio permanecen peligrosamente altos, lo que ha requerido múltiples exámenes, hospitalizaciones, tratamientos y cuidados constantes.

Lamentablemente, no cuento con seguro médico, y todos los gastos veterinarios han recaído completamente sobre mi humana. Ella ha hecho todo lo que está en sus manos —y más— para mantenerme con vida, cómodo y feliz, pero los costos se han vuelto muy difíciles de cubrir sola.
