Our dear friend Carla Véjar has been diagnosed with Cushing’s Disease, a rare and serious hormonal disorder caused by a brain tumor that severely disrupts the body’s hormonal balance. It affects nearly every system in the body and requires complex — and costly — treatment, including urgent surgery and long-term recovery.

Despite everything she’s facing, Carla continues with courage and joy, raising awareness about rare diseases through her Instagram account @e240rarosunidos, where she shares her journey and supports others. Her strength and smile inspire everyone around her.

We are a group of former classmates from the American School of Quito, and we’ve come together to support Carla during this difficult time. We invite you to be part of this network of solidarity.
