REC MADNESS 2018

Tax deductible
Rec Madness is a basketball tournament held for Rutgers University Recreation (RU Rec) student staff members in which each facility creates a team and competes against one another. The event was created by a former Livingston Recreation Center employee, Gianna DeVeitro, as a way for students to bond with their co-workers and have fun.

Two months after graduation, Gianna was diagnosed with leukemia and began her battle against cancer. She sadly passed away last May and the RU Rec staff has decided to continue the event in her honor.

For this year's tournament, we will be fundraising money for charity. The proceeds will be donated to DKMS and Kier's Kidz, two nonprofit organizations that help blood cancer patients find matching donors. Gianna worked with these organizations to find two bone marrow transplant donors.

Any donation is greatly appreciated!
